Capture without interrupting your work

Windows 11 includes Snipping Tool, but some people prefer a faster workflow that starts immediately from the Print Screen key. MyPrintScreen runs in the notification area and opens a region selector when you press Prt Scr.

How to take a region screenshot

1. Install and start MyPrintScreen.
2. Press the Print Screen key.
3. Drag over the part of the screen you want to keep.
4. Copy the image, save it as a file, or upload it to receive a shareable link.

When a lightweight tool is useful

A dedicated region capture tool is convenient when you repeatedly document errors, prepare support instructions, send design feedback or capture only one application window. Selecting the relevant area also reduces file size and avoids sharing unrelated information.
