Privacy and security when taking screenshots

Understand when MyPrintScreen keeps a capture local, when it uploads an image and how to avoid sharing sensitive information.

Local and uploaded captures are different

Copying a screenshot to the clipboard or saving it to your computer does not require a public sharing link. Choosing the upload action sends the selected image to the MyPrintScreen service so that a browser link can be created.

Do not capture secrets

Never upload passwords, cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrases, authentication codes, identity documents, private customer records or other confidential information. Crop the selection tightly and inspect it before sharing.

Report a problem

If you shared the wrong image or need help with a screenshot link, contact the team through the support form and include the link, but never include a password or recovery phrase.
