Copy a screenshot to the Windows clipboard

Capture a screen region and paste the image directly into email, chat, Word, Paint or another Windows application.

Capture and copy

1. Press Print Screen and select the desired region.
2. Click the copy button below the selected area.
3. Switch to the destination application.
4. Press Ctrl + V to paste the image.

Why use the clipboard?

The clipboard avoids creating temporary files that you must find and delete later. It is ideal for a quick message, document, presentation or image editor. Remember that copying another item can replace the screenshot currently stored in the clipboard.

When to save a file instead
